Originally opened on Boxing Day 1912.

The Palace is one of the earliest purpose-built cinemas in the country.

Retaining many of it's original features, the building has been sympathetically converted for use as a general community venue, suitable for a wide range of social,artistic and commercial activies.

Even though the Palace has been converted for other uses, it still serves as an occasional cinema,with films being shown about once a month.

It is managed for us by The Palace Community Centre Ltd - a Charity Registered under the industrial and provident societies Acts. 1965-1978. Registration number 28237R
