Council Services

Your Parish Council provides a range of local services, each designed to help keep our Parish in good condition and good state of repair.

Taking direct accountability for our own services means that we are best placed to reflect what the local people want; we are not bound by some conditions imposed from District or County Councils.

As far as is possible and practical,we believe in giving local people a greater say in how the parish is managed.
We believe that this approach places the onus on us to deliver a superior service.

Members of the public are encouraged to participate in meetings and to offer ideas or suggestions for improvements.
( Or even complain if we're failing in any area)

It is not by luck, or a fluke that Pretoria Road Cemetery was awarded "Best Cemetery in U.K." (In it's class)

We are proud of the way our staff and contractors take care of the grounds.
